Synthesised and delivered the world's first network of free, community-run bike repair shops — growing from 4 to 14 locations across Auckland on a $2 million budget.

  • Co-designed the Bike Hub operating model with hundreds of stakeholders, from elected members to community and cultural groups.
  • Led procurement, detailed design, landowner consents, construction, and programme integration.
  • Network on track to reach 50,000 Aucklanders per year.

  • Led three regional month-long campaigns reaching over 200,000 Aucklanders.

Shadowed the first engineer on all systems: hydraulic furler and windlass rebuilds, generator and main engine servicing, AC/DC rewiring, fresh water replumbing. Repainted aluminium topsides with Awlgrip. Stood watch on overnight deliveries and charter weeks.

Delivered a 35m ex-trawler 700nm around the coast of NZ. Restored yachts from 6–12m — full electrical rewires, diesel engine rebuilds, deck repairs, rig replacement — to pay my way through university.
